Hi DeFiChain Community!
It's that time again for your weekly dose of all the latest happenings within our ecosystem. This week, we’ve got some important updates on MetaChain, a project spotlight on ebox, and a recap of the DeFiChain Labs announcement. Let's dive right in!
Latest MetaChain Layer Updates: RC and Next Steps
A Release Candidate (RC) was set, based on the stability of Beta14—which saw over 1.6 million transactions—and successful simulation and testing efforts.
However, due to unexpected bugs the RC had to be pulled. Specifically, a community transaction to enable the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) was incorrectly accepted, causing the RC to break.
In response, new Beta 15 was swiftly released last week with crucial fixes and performance upgrades. After significant stress testing, we’re pleased to report that Beta 15 has shown excellent stability. Now, a new RC has been released using this Beta version as the foundation.
Project Spotlight: Deep Dive into ebox
Last week, ebox was featured in our Project Spotlight Community Space. DeFiChain Labs took a deep-dive into ebox, where their team shared more details on its plans for the MetaChain layer and even dropped some hints about what the future holds.
