DeFiChain Labs joins the DeFiChain family as one of its three core pillars. Below is an overview of DeFiChain’s pillars and their roles:

DeFiChain Labs

DeFiChain Labs is an independent, open-source team that focuses on innovation.

Born from the union of core contributing teams to DeFiChain, DeFiChain Labs builds growth strategies, organizes ecosystem-enhancing initiatives like hackathons and collaborations, and manages blockchain engineering for the DeFiChain and MetaChain layers.

DeFiChain Foundation

Formerly a core contributing team, the DeFiChain Foundation has transformed.

Its predecessor, DeFiChain Foundation Limited, has been deregistered. In its place, a non-profit foundation was established in the BVI, prioritizing administrative tasks and protecting DeFiChain's intellectual property rights.

Daniel Zirkel (DZ) is the intermediary and communicator between DeFiChain’s new Foundation and its community.

Birthday Research

As Cake Group's dedicated R&D arm, Birthday Research builds decentralized apps (dApps) and protocols on the DeFiChain network. Birthday Research is the brain behind key products like the Light Wallet and Quantum Bridge.
