DeFiChain's Roadmap for the First Half of 2024
The DeFi landscape is constantly evolving, and DeFiChain is committed to staying ahead. Our roadmap for the first half of 2024, developed in collaboration with DeFiChain Labs and our active community, focuses on:
- DVM Native Layer Improvements
- MetaChain EVM Layer Improvements
- R&D Experimentation
- DeFiChain Growth
This roadmap charts a course for advancing DeFiChain’s capabilities, accessibility, and real-world impact.

Governance Round Updates
The latest voting round concluded at Block Height (BH) 3640000, with three new Community Fund Proposals (CFPs) passed:
- Independent Ocean API (My DeFiChain)
- Independent MetaChain RPC (My DeFiChain)
- Listing of DFI on CoinDCX, India’s largest CEX
New Special DFIP Proposal
The community has proposed a new special DFIP, focusing on adding IBIT (Spot ETF) instead of BITO (Futures ETF) to the DeFiChain DEX. This addition aims to enhance the DeFiChain ecosystem with more diversified options.

DeFiChain Community Reward Campaign: Win a Share of a 1,000 DFI Prize Pool!
The first of three Community Reward Campaigns began this week on January 15th, with a focus on highlighting DeFiChain across various platforms. This two-week-long quest offers multiple tasks, each completion bringing you closer to winning a share of the 1,000 DFI prize pool.

Munich’s DeFiChain Meetup: A Thriving Hub of Blockchain Innovation
In early January, Munich played host to the DeFiChain Community Meetup, successfully blending the city's traditional charm with the cutting-edge world of blockchain. The event drew a large crowd from the DeFiChain community, all keen to discuss and share their passion for DeFiChain and the future of DeFi. It was also amazing to see so many different projects across the ecosystem utilizing DeFiChain and integrating with the platform.
