DFIPs

DFIP 1: Improving the Handling of CFPs and DFIPs

This proposal aims to improve transparency, accountability, and governance in the handling of CFPs. The changes include increasing the approval threshold, introducing milestone-based fund releases, and requiring mandatory reporting for CFP recipients.

Key Changes:

  • Approval Threshold: Increased from 50% to 66.67% of Masternode votes.
  • Structured Payments: CFPs above $3,000 must follow a tranche-based payout model, with releases dependent on progress reports.
  • Mandatory Reporting: CFP recipients must provide quarterly updates detailing fund usage and project milestones.
  • Pre-Voting Discussion: Proposals must be posted on Reddit at least 21 days before voting starts.

Impact: These changes enforce stronger governance, ensure responsible fund allocation, and enhance transparency in DeFiChain’s funding process.

DFIP 2: Deprecation of All Pools Involving dCryptos

Following the previous deprecation of XCHF and MATIC pools, this proposal seeks to retire all liquidity pools involving dCryptos to minimize risk and free up resources for more viable initiatives.

Implementation Plan:

  • A 30-day notice will be issued to inform LPs about the deprecation.
  • Liquidity withdrawals will be facilitated, with dCrypto token holders receiving their proportional assets.
  • Swap functionality will be disabled two months after the initial deprecation announcement.

Benefits:

  • Protects the community from exposure to deprecated or unviable assets.
  • Redirects liquidity toward healthier pools.
  • Enhances DeFiChain’s long-term sustainability and transparency.

CFPs

CFP 1: Oracle Data Servicing 2025

Reliable price feeds are essential for DeFiChain’s ecosystem. This proposal requests 600,000 DFI to support ongoing oracle operations, covering infrastructure, API access, maintenance, and security.

Benefits:

  • Provides accurate pricing data for dAssets and trading pairs.
  • Reduces risks of faulty or manipulated price feeds.
  • Ensures long-term reliability of DeFi services such as swaps and lending.

CFP 2: Ensuring Maintenance & Compliance of Light Wallet App Store Listings & Dedicated Company Setup

To maintain DeFiChain’s presence on Google Play and Apple App Store, this proposal requests 2.85M DFI to fund app compliance, store listing optimization, and customer support.

Scope of Work:

  • Establish a dedicated legal entity to manage developer accounts.
  • Perform App Store Optimization (ASO) for visibility and discoverability.
  • Ensure compliance with Apple and Google’s evolving policies.
  • Cover developer account fees and potential in-app purchase commissions.

Outcome:

  • Keeps DeFiChain accessible worldwide.
  • Improves user experience and app store rankings.
  • Ensures legal and tax compliance.

CFP 3: AI X DeFiChain – AI-Powered Knowledge Hub Chatbot for Onboarding and Education

This proposal seeks 1.75M DFI to develop an AI chatbot that streamlines user onboarding, consolidates fragmented DeFiChain knowledge, and automates customer support.

Features:

  • Aggregates information from official sources into an AI-powered chatbot.
  • Provides instant answers to community questions.
  • Supports multi-language capabilities for global adoption.
  • Reduces the workload on community moderators.

Impact:

  • Simplifies onboarding for new users.
  • Reduces barriers to entry by offering structured guidance.
  • Enhances ecosystem engagement through interactive learning.

CFP 4: Effective Maintenance and Compliance of DeFiChain Light Wallet

An alternative to CFP 2, this proposal requests 500,000 DFI to achieve the same goals at a significantly reduced cost.

Key Differences:

  • Cost Efficiency: Requires less than 20% of the funding requested by the alternative proposal.
  • Transparency: Led by the Dex Trading Live (DTL) Team, providing quarterly reports.
  • Compliance and Maintenance: Covers developer fees, policy compliance, and app listing optimization.

Why Vote for This Proposal?

  • Achieves DeFiChain’s goals with a lower budget.
  • Provides full transparency through quarterly reports.
  • Ensures sustained availability of the Light Wallet.

CFP 5: Follow-Up Proposal – Additional Developer Resources for Network Resilience

To strengthen DeFiChain’s infrastructure and resolve critical issues like Ocean network downtime, cloud migration, and app transitions, this proposal seeks 1.85M DFI to fund dedicated developer resources.

Key Actions:

  • Engage Peter Bushnell, a seasoned technical expert, to oversee critical network stability projects.
  • Address Block Scout maintenance, key management, and governance adjustments.
  • Support the transition of Google Play and Apple App Store listings to community control.

Impact:

  • Enhances DeFiChain’s technical resilience and operational security.
  • Ensures critical infrastructure remains functional and well-maintained.
  • Strengthens governance through technical improvements.
